Wine, at its best, isn't just something you taste. It's something you feel. A moment. A place. A shift in how you experience what's in front of you. Served By Regal was built on this idea, that wine is not just a product, but an experience shaped by land, people and intention.
Our Story
Where it Began
This didn’t start with a business plan.
It started with a question:
What role are women really playing in wine today?
For generations, winemaking has largely been passed down through paternal lines. Land, knowledge and opportunity were often inherited, not equally accessible.
But something is changing.
And that curiosity became the starting point.
A Different Perspective
Alongside this, Dan's professional career was spent working in large organisations, supporting supplier diversity, and helping create opportunities for underrepresented businesses.
He saw first-hand how:
- access shapes outcomes
- diversity drives innovation
- different perspectives lead to better results
That thinking carried into wine.
Because wine, like any industry, reflects the people within it.

What Dan Saw in Catalonia
Living in Catalonia brought everything together.
Dan met women who were not only making wine, but reshaping how it’s done.
They weren’t following tradition for the sake of it.
They were bringing knowledge from other worlds:
- engineering
- nutrition
- pharmaceuticals
Applying this in ways that felt both:
deeply considered
and quietly innovative
A New Kind of Winemaking
This showed up in the wines themselves.
Not overworked.
Not manipulated.
Not designed to fit a formula.
Instead:
- biodynamic and sustainable farming
- ancient techniques like amphora
- natural fermentation
- balance, not control
The result is wine that feels more alive.
More connected to where it comes from.

But what stood out most wasn’t just the wine.
It was the way these producers built community.
Collaboration over competition.
Shared knowledge.
Support across vineyards and regions.
Wine became:
